Responsibilities 

The Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department coordinates maintenance services and rental activities for all city facilities. Facilities that fall under this division include City Hall, the Community Center, Active Adult Center, Library, Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, Moorpark Public Services Facility, the Ruben Castro Human Services Center, and the Police Services Center.

Budget & Rentals

The budget for this division includes all costs associated with custodial maintenance, building repairs, and general upkeep.

The Community Center and Recreation Center are also available for rental by community groups for private functions. Rental rates and availability vary, depending upon the type of event planned and the space required.  Please call us at (805) 517-6300 for rental information.

Community Center

The Community Center is the primary formal meeting place for the City Council, Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Arts Commission, and the Library Board. The center is located at:

Recreation Center

Arroyo Vista Recreation Center is geared primarily toward recreational activities including classes, sports activities, and teen programs. The recreation center is located at:
