Moorpark City Transit   

Moorpark City Transit bus service operates Monday through Friday, except the following city holidays:

  • Christmas Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • New Year's Day
  • Thanksgiving Day

Transit Routes

There are two fixed routes Monday through Friday. Each route consists of a one-way loop of approximately 16 miles, with about 40 stops.  

  • Route 1 operates from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and circulates in a counter-clockwise loop around the city
  • Route 2 operates from 6:15 a.m. to 5:54 p.m., and circulates in a clockwise loop around the city

Fares

Starting Monday, April 11th, 2022, all Moorpark City Transit Services will resume fare collection. Please click here for more information.

  • $1 for general public
  • Free for seniors age 65 and over 
  • Free for individuals with an ADA card
  • Free for students attending one of the following colleges:
    • Moorpark, Ventura, Oxnard, Cal State Channel Islands, Cal Lutheran, UCSB, and Santa Barbara City College.
  • Free for high school students

VCTC Intercity Services East County Service

The VCTC East County connects Moorpark with the cities of Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. Bus stops are located at the Moorpark Metrolink Train Station, Princeton Avenue (near Campus Park Drive) and Moorpark College.  

The VCTC East-West Connector connects Moorpark with the cities of Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Oxnard, and Ventura.  Bus stops are located at the Moorpark Metrolink Train Station and Moorpark College.  

Both routes connect to other VCTC intercity services, providing connections to all cities in Ventura County as well as CSUCI, Santa Barbara and the Warner Center.

Free WiFi available onboard all VCTC Intercity buses.
 
Free transfers are offered between VCTC Intercity buses as well as local fixed-route providers such as Moorpark City Transit and Gold Coast Transit.

Metrolink
Metrolink is Southern California's regional commuter rail service in its 25th year of operation serving Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura and North San Diego counties. Metrolink trains have stopped at Moorpark Station since 1992, providing a convenient, comfortable and stress-free commute for our passengers. Trains operate Monday through Friday with 16 trains stopping at Moorpark Station.
