The City had temporarily suspended issuing parking tickets in March 2020 in response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in recognition that a number of residents were at home during the day when they would normally be at work, school, or socializing. With the fall season beginning and additional leaf litter anticipated along the street curbs, this is a critical time period for streets to be free of vehicles in order to ensure that excessive leaves and debris are removed before going into storm drains that can cause blockages and potentially lead to flooding during the rainy season.
The following are the 2020 city holidays (city hall will be closed), and a notation whether or not street sweeping will occur:
