NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark, California, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., at the Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021, to consider the application described below.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Interim Deputy City Manager / Community Development Director has determined this project to be Categorically Exempt in accordance with 15301 (Class 1: Existing Facilities) of the California Code of Regulations (CEQA Guidelines). No further environmental documentation is required.

Pursuant to Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-29-20 et seq., members of the City of Moorpark Planning Commission will participate in this meeting via a teleconference from separate locations.   In the interest of maintaining appropriate social distancing, members of the public who want to participate in the meeting may do so in-person, but are encouraged to participate using the options below:

Proposal: Allow the sale of beer, wine and liquor for off-site consumption and on-site instructional tasting at a proposed 35,467 square-foot grocery store.

The proposed project application(s) and environmental documents may be reviewed at the Community Development Department (City Hall, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, CA 93021) during normal business hours or on the City’s Website at www.moorparkca.gov/358/Planning-Commission on Friday, February 19, 2021.

Any person affected by the application(s) may appear and be heard in support or opposition to the proposals at the time of the hearing.

The Planning Commission in their deliberation could approve the project, deny, or approvthe project in an alternative form.  If you challenge the proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
