Planning Commission

The Moorpark City Council is now accepting application for appointment to the Moorpark Planning Commission.  The appointment is for five members to serve a two-year term to expire December 2022. 

Applicants must be a resident of the City of Moorpark, registered to vote in Moorpark, and where possible, have special knowledge in the fields of real property, construction, law, zoning and architecture, or related subjects. The Commission considers such matters as the general plan, specific plans, re-zonings, use permits and subdivisions. The Planning Commission regular meeting schedule is the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m.  

All applicants will be required to attend a regular City Council meeting on December 16, 2020, or one other meeting date, as yet to be determined to make a brief presentation (not to exceed three minutes) on qualifications and interest in the appointment.  Use of a PowerPoint presentation will be permitted if the City Clerk has been provided with the file no less than 24 hours prior to the meeting.  Failure to make a presentation shall result in disqualification for appointment.
