Tiny Art Exhibit: November 1 – 30
Let your inner Picasso or van Gogh free and create a tiny masterpiece to be displayed at our Tiny Art Show! Register for a Tiny Art Kit between September 1 and 22 to receive a 3”x3” canvas, an easel, acrylic paint, a brush, and air-dry clay. Completed tiny art must be returned to the library by October 28 to be a part of the exhibit.
Greet the new day with Ms. Kellsie as she explores exciting books, silly songs, and educational activities! Grown-ups, we invite you to read, sing, write, talk, and play together with your child in a supportive atmosphere with other families.
All ages are invited to join us for an art show and reception featuring a special exhibit of tiny works of art created by Moorpark patrons! Celebrate art and creativity as you enjoy light refreshments with the artists at the Library.
Performing Arts Center at Moorpark College
Join us for fun, hands-on science experiments with Riya Agrawal, an MHS honor student. Saturday morning classes are 45 minutes, twice a month. Please sign up in advance by talking to staff or registering online at moorparkca.gov/Children. Drop-ins are welcome!
A cookbook club for adults who enjoy cooking and sharing food. Each club meeting features a different theme, and members prepare a tasty treat to share. Registration is required, and new members must complete a waiver at their first meeting. To register, call the Library or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

A book club for all things comics, manga, and graphic novels! Join us to make friends, discuss your favorites, and discover something new! Teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to register and will receive a free copy of the book to keep and build their collection, provided by the Moorpark Friends of the Library. You do not need to register to attend the club, drop-ins are welcome!
Your child will increase their fluency and confidence by reading aloud to a volunteer for 20-30 minutes each week. Interactions support pronunciation assistance, vocabulary development, and specific comprehension skills. Afterward, enjoy some educational fun by playing a literacy-based board game together as a group.

The mission of Moorpark City Library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is to assist the Library in creating engaging spaces and programs for teens and promoting the Library to teens and the community of Moorpark. In addition to earning service hours, TAG members will develop leadership skills, gain valuable experience for job and college applications, meet new friends, and make a difference in their community.
Members earn 1.5 hours of community service for each meeting they attend and can sign up for other volunteer opportunities at the Library.
TAG meetings are held monthly, September through May, on the second Friday of every month from 5 – 6:30 PM.

Bring your book or check out one of ours and join Miss Karol for a silent book club. After reading for 30 minutes, you will have a chance to tell the group about your book. Reminder: any reading done during this club session counts towards your Summer Reading program log!
This family-friendly event will feature talented writers from Ventura County who have written books on a wide range of topics, from fiction to non-fiction, and everything in between! You'll have the chance to chat with authors, pick up some signed copies of their books, and learn more about the writing process. Let's show our support for our local authors and celebrate the power of the written word!
