WHAT ARE WE?

The Ventura County Green Business (VCGB) Program is a free certification program that assists businesses by implementing cost-saving and sustainable measures. The program allows businesses to meet environmental achievements in greenhouse gas reductions and pollution prevention, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction and recycling, responsible purchasing practices, and transportation management.

WHY JOIN?

Green business programs help local businesses be more efficient, sustainable and recognized. It’s good for the environment, saves money, improves employee wellness and productivity, offers a marketing edge over the competition, builds customer trust and loyalty, and they get recognized as a community leader.  Overall, it’s a thumbs up for our local businesses and good for Ventura County as a whole.

Once certified, you will receive a certificate, VCGB logo to display in-store, online, and in your PR and marketing materials, get entered into the statewide and nationwide databases, get a shout out in our social media and press release, and get further recognition from the city and county.
