There are several options to register!
IN PERSON: Walk-in registrations are accepted at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
BY MAIL: Complete the registration form (available on the City’s website). Make a check payable to City of Moorpark for the total amount due. If paying by credit card, include credit card number and expiration date, and sign where indicated. Mail registration form and payment to: City of Moorpark, Attn: Recreation Registration, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, CA 93021 BY PHONE: Call us at (805) 517-6300. Registrations are accepted during office hours. Have your registration information and Visa or Mastercard ready. Please do not leave your credit card number on the voice mail system.
ONLINE: Click on the link for online registration. Search for activities by code, keyword, age, or category. You can then register and pay by credit card. Don’t forget to print your enrollment receipt. Please note: New accounts must be approved by the Recreation Division. Accounts will be approved within 1 business day. Once approved, you will receive e-mail notification and you will be able to register on-line.

Recreation Program Refund Policy:
Registrations are taken on a first come/first served basis, unless otherwise noted. Programs may be combined or canceled as necessary if the minimum enrollment is not met. Program information is subject to change. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. The City accepts cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard. (Phone and fax registrations must be paid by credit card). There is a $25 NSF fee. Withdrawals: Requests for withdrawals must be received as follows: 1) One-session programs: at least 1 business day prior to program date, 2) 2+ session programs: prior to the 2nd meeting date, 3) Sports leagues: prior to the posting of the game schedule. Refunds/credits will be pro-rated, and any costs incurred by the City or instructor will be deducted from refunds/credits. Credits will be applied to your account at Arroyo Vista and are good through the fiscal year. Refunds will be issued by check for check or cash payment and back to the credit card account for credit card payment. In addition to deductions stated above, a $10 processing fee is deducted from all refunds. Cancellations: Full refunds or credits will be issued for classes canceled by the City. Inclement Weather: Outdoor classes will not be held during rainy conditions. Make-up class dates will be scheduled for rain outs.
Camp Moorpark Refund Policy:
Requests for transfers, credits, or refunds must be received by Recreation office staff no later than 12:00 noon on the prior business day. Transfers, credits, or refunds will not be issued if not received by noon on the prior business day. Each child may be withdrawn from a camp day (either via a transfer, credit, or refund) for up to five (5) camp days during the camp year (Summer 2017-Spring 2018) without a penalty. Withdrawals beyond this will incur a $10 per day per child withdrawal fee.
Transfers: You may transfer your child from one camp day to another if space is available. If there is a cost difference between the day registered and the day requested for the transfer, either the balance must be paid (plus any withdrawal fee) at the time of transfer, or a credit (less any withdrawal fee) will be issued at the time of transfer.
Credits: 100% of your fees (less any withdrawal fee) will be applied to your account and may be used toward any program we offer within one (1) year.
Refunds: A $10 per transaction fee, plus any withdrawal fee, will be deduct-ed from all refunds. Refunds will be issued via check (if paid by check or cash) or as a refund to your credit card account (if paid by credit card).
Sick Days or Absences: Refunds, credits, or transfers for sick days and other absences are not available.
Park Rental Cancellations and Fee Refund Policy:
Rental fee refunds for Park Rental cancellations are subject to the fees described below and the fee amounts as specified in the City Council’s Resolution Establishing Park Rental Fees, Deposits, and Additional Charges. Refunds will not be issued for permits with rental fees of $25 or less. The permit application fee is non‐refundable, except for cancellations due to inclement weather or conditions which make the facility unusable, and described below.
a. For cancellations received thirty (30) calendar days or more in advance of the Rental date, the City will refund allfees paid (except non-refundable fees) less a processing fee established by City Council Resolution. Renter may also elect to reschedule the canceled Rental, or receive a full credit, which may be applied to a future Rental date. Said credit must be used within one (1) year of the cancellation.
b. For cancellations received between twenty-nine (29) and five (5) calendar days prior to the Rental date, the City will refund all fees paid less any costs incurred by the City, a processing fee, and a cancellation fee established by City Council Resolution. Renter may also elect to reschedule the canceled Rental, or receive a full credit, which may be applied to a future Rental date. Said credit must be used within one (1) year of the cancellation.
c. For cancellations received less than five (5) calendar days prior to the Rental date, the City will refund the security deposit, only, less any costs incurred by the City. If a security deposit was not paid, no fees will be refunded. Renter will not have the option to reschedule the canceled Rental.
d. For cancellations due to inclement weather (temperatures below 45°F or above 95°F, active precipitation, winds in excess of thirty (30) miles-per-hour, or heavy fog), a National Weather Service forecast twenty-four hours prior to the rental date of 50% or greater chance of inclement weather in Moorpark during the rental hours, or conditions which make the park facility unusable (as determined by the Director), Renter is entitled to a full refund. Renter may also elect to reschedule the canceled Rental.
Facility Rental Cancellations and Fee Refund Policy:
Rental cancellations are subject to the following:
a. For cancellations received ninety (90) days or more in advance of the Rental date, the City will refund all fees paid (except no-refundable fees) less a $25 processing fee.
b. For cancellations received between eighty-nine (89) and fifteen (15) days prior to the Rental date, the City will refund all fees paid (except non-refundable fees) less any costs incurred by the City, plus a $100 cancellation fee and a $25 processing fee.
c. For cancellations received less than fifteen (15) days prior to the Rental date, the City will refund the security deposit only, less any costs incurred by the City plus $25 processing fee.
From the San Fernando Valley and Simi Valley:Take the 118 Freeway West to Moorpark:Exit Los Angeles Avenue. Turn RIGHT (west) onto Los Angeles Avenue. Stay on Los Angeles Avenue until you reach Tierra Rejada Road. Turn LEFT onto Tierra Rejada Rd. Turn LEFT at Countrywood. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.
From Thousand Oaks and Calabasas:Take the 101 to the 23 Freeway North to Moorpark:Exit Tierra Rejada Road. Turn LEFT and go into Moorpark. Turn RIGHT at Countrywood Road. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.
From Camarillo, Ventura, and Oxnard: Take Highway 118 East to Moorpark:When you reach Moorpark, turn RIGHT at Tierra Rejada Road. Turn LEFT at Countrywood. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.
From Fillmore and Santa ClaritaTake Highway 126 to Highway 23 South to Moorpark:The 23 South will become Moorpark Avenue. Stay on Moorpark Avenue to Los Angeles Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto Los Angeles Avenue. Turn LEFT onto Tierra Rejada Rd. Turn LEFT at Countrywood. Follow the access road to the bottom of the hill.
