Local Author Showcase & Book Sale
Saturday, November 18, from 1 – 4 pm
This family-friendly event will feature talented writers from Ventura County who have written books on a wide range of topics, from fiction to non-fiction, and everything in between! You'll have the chance to chat with authors, pick up some signed copies of their books, and learn more about the writing process. Let's show our support for our local authors and celebrate the power of the written word!

Art for All
Fourth Saturday of the month from 1 – 2 pm in the Citrus Room
Children with disabilities and their caregivers are invited to attend this arts and crafts program led by Teen Advisory Group member and MHS student Camryn. Register online or drop-in to join us in the distraction-free Citrus Room.

Tiny Art Show & Tiny Story Contest

Solar Eclipse Celebration

Throughout the week, the Moorpark City Library will provide solar eclipse glasses and a variety of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy, including guest speakers, games, crafts, and more! This is an incredible opportunity for you and your family to come together and witness a natural wonder that you will never forget. Click here to learn more.
Snuggly Saturday
Take some time to relax and cozy up with family and friends by playing board games, building something amazing with LEGOs, or creating something special in the craft corner. Pajamas are welcome for an extra snuggly atmosphere!

Kid's Fest

Día de los Niños (Children’s Day) is a celebration highlighting the importance of literacy for children and families as a whole, regardless of their cultural backgrounds! Join us as we provide fun activities and games, storytelling, performances, and information about community resources.
Open Mic Night
Friday, August 11, from 5 – 6:30 pm
Share your poetry, play your instrument, or sing a song at the Library after hours. Enjoy an evening with fellow artists, musicians, and poets. This event is open to all ages, so please keep your performances family-friendly!
2023 Summer Bookmark Contest
March 1 – April 30
It’s time for our annual bookmark contest, and this year it’s for all ages! Winners will have their bookmarks professionally printed and available at the library throughout the summer. Submissions are now closed, click here for updates on contest winners.
