NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark, California, on Tuesday, April 25 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at the Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021, to consider the application described below. 

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Community Development Director has determined this project to be Categorically Exempt in accordance with Section 15061 of the California Code of Regulations (CEQA Guidelines). No further environmental documentation is required.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN consistent with Government Code Section 65091 that the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment will require a Conditional Use Permit for drive-through facilities and limit such facilities to the CPD zone within the City. 

Proposal:      An Amendment to Chapter 17.20 (Uses by Zone) of Title 17 (Zoning) of the Moorpark Municipal Code to address marijuana and medical marijuana cultivation, tobacco sales including electronic cigarettes, drive-through facilities, check cashing, payday loan, and vehicle title loan establishments, and massage establishments

The proposed project application(s) and environmental documents may be reviewed at the Community Development Department, City Hall, 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, CA 93021 during normal business hours.

Any person affected by the application(s) may appear and be heard in support or opposition to the proposals at the time of the hearing.

The Planning Commission in their deliberation could recommend approval of the proposal, denial of the proposal, or approval of the proposal in an alternative form.  If you challenge the proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
