NOTICE OF JOINT CITY COUNCIL AND PLANNING COMMISSION WORKSHOP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council and Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark, California, will hold a workshop on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., at the Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021, to receive a report and presentation as described below. NO FORMAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.

PROJECT: Hitch Ranch Specific Plan

APPLICANT: Harriet Rapista, Comstock, Crosser, & Associates Development Company, Inc.

PROPOSAL: A request for a Development Agreement, General Plan Amendment, Specific Plan, Zone Change, and Tentative Subdivision Map to support the future planned development of Hitch Ranch, consisting of: 755 residential units, 14.11 acres of public parks, private recreational facilities, trail systems, on-site and off-site roadways, manufactured slopes and drainage facilities, and associated improvements.

LOCATION: Assessor Parcel Nos. 511-0-020-110, -130, -160, -170, -180, -195, and 511-0-200-245.  The project is generally located north of Poindexter Avenue, west of Casey Road, and extending approximately 1,700 feet to the west of Gabbert Road.

The City Council and Planning Commission will receive a report and presentation regarding the proposed Hitch Ranch Specific Plan and associated development.  NO FORMAL ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for the public to provide comments and feedback on the proposed project.

Pursuant to Governor Newsom’s Executive Order N-29-20 et seq., members of the City of Moorpark City Council and Planning Commission will participate in this meeting via teleconference from separate locations.  In the interest of maintaining appropriate social distancing, members of the public who want to participate in the meeting may do so in-person, but are encouraged to participate electronically or via e-mail.  E-mail: send comments to planning@moorparkca.gov prior to 4:00 p.m. on the meeting day (please limit to 500 words).
