NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the City of Moorpark, California, on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at the Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021, to consider the application described below.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Community Development Director has determined this project to be Categorically Exempt in accordance with Section 15061 of the California Code of Regulations (CEQA Guidelines). No further environmental documentation is required.

Proposal:     Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2020-01: An Amendment to Chapter 17.20 (Uses by Zone) of Title 17 (Zoning) of the Moorpark Municipal Code to prohibit the cultivation of industrial hemp.

Applicant: City of Moorpark

The Planning Commission in their deliberation could recommend approval of the proposal, denial of the proposal, or approval of the proposal in an alternative form.  If you challenge the proposal in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the Public Hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Community Development Department at, or prior to, the Public Hearing.
