Identifying light owner

Outdoor lights are owned and maintained by municipalities and utilities. Before making a report to us, please attempt to confirm whether we are the responsible party. If the pole is located in the City of Moorpark and it is a stand-alone light pole, it is likely owned by the city. If it is a power pole with a light, it is owned by Southern California Edison and should be reported to them. 

Please note that if a stand-alone light pole is on a private street, it remains Southern California Edison’s responsibility and should be reported to them. 

Our light poles have numbered metal tags; please note this tag number when reporting an outage. If tag is damaged or missing, outage may be reported using pole location.
