Patrons wishing to apply for a library card must show proof of identity and residence. Patrons may fill out an application online by clicking on Get A Card at moorparklibrary.org. Please note that new cardholders must also sign an application form in person.Library

First-time library card applicants residing in California are eligible to receive a free library card. Out-of-state residents are charged a $25.00 registration fee.Library

Replacement cards are available for $1.00. A valid ID is required to access your account.Library

Your PIN is the last four digits of the telephone number you provide when applying for a library card.Library

Patrons whose accounts are in good standing can check out up to thirty items, including a maximum of five DVDs and five Audiobooks. Most items circulate for three weeks, and patrons have the option to renew items for an additional three weeks as long as another patron hasn't requested them.Library

Yes. Go to moorparklibrary.org and log in to your account. You can select all or individual items for renewal.Library

Your library account is charged 20 cents per day for each late item.Library

After searching for title, author or keyword, use the pull-down menus to refine your search by Publication Date, Format, Language, etc.Library

After your initial search in the online catalog, filter your results by selecting Moorpark City Library from the list of libraries on the left side of the screen.Library

Click on "Place Request." Enter your library card number and PIN. Confirm that you have selected the correct item, select your pick-up library from the drop-down menu, and click "Submit Request."Library

Moorpark City Library offers self-service printing from library computers and mobile devices (black & white: 15 cents; color: 50 cents per page). A photocopier is also available (black & white: 10 cents; color: 25 cents per copy).Library

Children over the age of 10 may use the library alone. Please note that library staff are not responsible for minors in the library.Library

Yes. Under California law (Government Code, Title 1, Division 7, Chapter3.5, Sections 6254 (j) and 6267), library records are confidential. Staff will protect the confidentiality of library patron records accordingly and are restricted by law from releasing personal information or information about what a patron has checked out or placed on reserve.Library

The Summer Reading Club is a national library program offering a variety of fun reading-related activities for children of all ages. Sign-ups begin in mid-June. Summer Reading Club kicks off the third week of June and runs through the first week of August.Library
