The Community Development Department is the primary department responsible for oversight of development in the city. The department assists the City Council, Planning Commission, the public, and the development community in meeting the goals of the General Plan, complying with the Zoning Ordinance and applicable specific plans, and developing in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
